We are officially under three weeks until the 2019 Spring Bantam Lake blowout and it’s time to bring out the trash. Will it ever stop raining, this weather is insane? It’s hard to believe that the lake is not much higher than Mr. Ziemy’s photos from last week. Let’s just keep our fingers crossed that mother nature is almost finished with this rain and the good weather will arrive soon. Rumor has it that Tommy K. is very upset that the bad weather has put a damper on his pre-camping fish scouting of the lake. Oh I forgot, he’s just using his kayak so he really isn’t scouting for fish, just getting some exercise and checking out the sites. Oh wait a minute, that’s right, he just needs to try out his new tent to make sure he knows how to set it up( OMG what a pile of BS). Regardless, I have a strong feeling that the trophy is coming back to Kelly ridge Road away.

Scouting update for May 16, great day on Bantam Lake with cold and
clear water. Water level could be to high for the dock.
Many camping sites on the other side are not usable.
No large fish or pike landed.
5 pickerel
5 red eye
5 perch
1 smallmouth bass
Will it ever stop raining?
Yes, for two weeks, right before we go.
If anybody still gets the newspaper, save it and bring to the campground.
No more Daily News paper to start the fires.
